On June 26th, MAFEX presented the project RailActivation in the KickOff Meeting held by the European Commission, EASME Agency. This project was awarded in the framework of Horizon2020.
RailActivation is funded under the above mentioned framework H2020 within the scope of the EASME Agency, The Executive Agency for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises.
The project, where MAFEX acts as a coordinator, in collaboration with TECNALIA (Technological Center), DITECFER (Cluster), BTS (Cluster) and QUINN (Technological Center) on the development of new mechanisms and tools based on open innovation strategies that will support the transformation of the railway industry since open innovation implies accelerating internal R&D and innovation along value chains through collaboration between technological supply and demand within networking and multiple collaboration ecosystems.
In addition to RailActivation Project, two other funded projects under H2020 programme were presented during the Kick-off meeting in the EU with the aim of seeking out synergies between the different initiatives.
